Development

We are looking for a Senior AWS Developer to lead a team of professionals in a fast-paced environment where they will be a key player with SaaS, MBaaS (mobile backend as a service), and external system integration services responsibilities. A candidate for this position will be a self-starter who values their work and that of their team members.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop dynamically scalable, highly available, highly reliable and fault-tolerant applications on AWS infrastructure and services
  • Scope and architect technical features to meet product team requirements
  • Evaluate and identify emerging technologies for service driven platform development and/or migration
  • Work with a team of skilled interdisciplinary professionals to grow and enhance your technical skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in Single Page Application UI frameworks such as Angular, Backbone or other SPA framework
  • 3+ years commercial/enterprise grade software development employing frontend technologies including jQuery, JSON, XML/XSLT, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and Bootstrap
  • Experience in Node.js (ColdFusion is a plus)
  • Experience with NoSQL databases & relational database management systems (MySQL is a plus)
  • Experience with unit testing, automated UI testing, TDD and/or BDD

  • Design, develop, modify and deploy robust object oriented mobile applications for the Android platform using OAuth 2.0 and RESTful JSON and XML to deliver data
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of our platform
  • Collaborate with the development and product teams to define, design, and ship new features
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation tests
  • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability

Your role as Product Owner:

You will be the Agile Product Owner reporting into the Product and Marketing organization, but working with all teams at MobileSmith through Agile Scrum processes.  Your job will be to synthesize stakeholder requirements into an actionable product vision and motivate the scrum team by translating the vision epics and user stories with clear goals and success measurements.  Additionally, you will work with the Sales and Marketing teams as a product evangelist to understand customer needs directly and how to best position our products to meet those needs.  Finally, you will work with technology partners to expand meaningful use cases that MobileSmith can deliver into the healthcare market by connecting our platform to partner healthcare information technologies.

To meet your key objectives:

  • Work with product planning to document the product vision and scope.
  • Elicit requirements using customer discovery, user analytics, competitive assessment & cognitive design.
  • Write and explain requirements verbally and visually
  • Lead backlog grooming with the agile teams and collaborate with stakeholders on prioritization.
  • Work within our technology partners’ sandbox environments to create prototypes of new app use cases
  • Use our platform to create new ideas for MobileSmith Blueprints.
  • Demo our products, new features, and roadmap to prospects and customers to gain insights.
  • Work collaboratively with certification training team to keep product documentation up to date.
